Grocholewicz – The Effect of Nano-Hydroxyapatite and Ozone on Initial Interproximal Caries

This randomized clinical trial compared the effects of nano-hydroxyapatite gel, ozone therapy, and their combination on the remineralization of initial approximal caries lesions in adults. After one year, the combination therapy showed the highest remineralization rates (69.3%), outperforming each individual method. However, the effect diminished after two years, indicating the need for continuous treatment. Both nano-hydroxyapatite and ozone are effective, non-invasive options for treating enamel and dentin lesions, with the combination being the most effective in the short term.
