20 Years of Liquid Tooth Enamel
Univ.-Prof. Dr. Rainer Hahn developed liquid tooth enamel for the first time in the late 1990s, in collaboration with leading mineralogists, based on submicroscopic Hydroxylapatite crystals – the natural main component of tooth tissue.
The crucial breakthrough:
the unique affinity of these crystals for the tooth surface.
They selectively adhere, densify the surface, smooth the enamel, visibly brighten it, and act anti-adhesively against new plaque.
From Concept to Original
Initially, liquid dental enamel was technically extremely challenging to produce and could only be manufactured in very small quantities. It was only through an innovative manufacturing process that it became stable, effective, and suitable for everyday use.
Today, liquid dental enamel is the core active ingredient of all ApaCare® products. The interaction with proven fluoride has also been scientifically precisely addressed – through a patented complexing agent process.
