The effect of nano-hydroxyapatite and ozone on interproximal initial caries: a randomised clinical trial

The aim of the study was to evaluate the efficacy of three methods for remineralising tooth enamel in cases of interproximal initial caries: (1) a nano-hydroxyapatite gel, (2) ozone therapy using gaseous ozone, (3) a combination of nano-hydroxyapatite gel and ozone. Patients (n = 92, aged 20–30 years) with initial interproximal enamel lesions on premolars and molars (n = 546) were randomly assigned to three groups and underwent a 6-month course of treatment.
